Price Matching in Canada
Price Matching flyer sales in Canada is a great way to save money on your everyday groceries
Our team has compiled a list of Canadian grocery retailers who price match. The stores they will price match to are most typically within the same region (town or city). It is always recommended you check with your local store(s) to see what competitors they will price match, along with any limitations.
My store will accept price matching, but how do I do it?
Price matching can be intimidating the first time you do it. The process is simple, and most cashiers are trained in the process (and can help guide you);
Using a current and active paper or digital flyer, identify the sale item you would like to price match
some stores will have weekend or 3-day sales, you want to make sure the item is on sale at the time you are shopping
Stick to flyers; online prices are usually not accepted. For example, Walmart online may have a cheaper price for a particular item, but if that’s not advertised in the weekly flyer it wont be accepted for price matching.
Ensure the location you are shopping at can in fact price match, and that they are willing to accept the selected competitors flyer
Ask the store manager or cashier if you aren’t sure
Make sure the product you grab is the exact same as what is advertised (size, brand, variety)
Understand limitations; can you price match four of the same item? six? eight?
The cashier will review the flyer, comparing it to the product you’ve grabbed. If done correctly they will manually change the price, and you are good to go!
