We know that groceries are expensive, and not everyone wants to use coupons or cashback. And that’s totally okay! You can still save money simply by making a meal plan each and every week.
In this blog post we target more affordable grocery options found in (Ontario-based) flyers. We largely target the staple ingredients needed, excluding any condiments, spices and staples (butter, oil, milk, etc.).
Price match where you can to save yourself from doing multiple trips at multiple stores. Adjust for quantities, flavour preferences and dietary needs.
For a meatless meal we’ve highlighted a delicious coconut green curry with paneer! You can really add in any veg you prefer to make this your own, but we love bok choy and highly recommend that as an add in! Weekly reminder that meatless meals are a great healthy option for families.
Quick Recipe
Simply saute your chopped bok choy in any oil of your choosing (add in more if you like; onions, peppers!)
add the cubed paneer and fry for a few minutes
add in your curry paste, stirring until fragrant.
Add in your coconut milk and bring to a simmer
Let simmer for 3-5 min, or until bok choy has softened
Serve with a side of jasmine rice
Adjust salt & pepper to suite your preferences
