Weekly Affordable Meals
Ideas & Inspiration for Canadians
April 27 - May 03, 2023 Flyer Sales
We know that groceries are expensive, and not everyone wants to use coupons or cashback. And that’s totally okay! You can still save money simply by making a meal plan each and every week.
In this blog post we target more affordable grocery options found in (Ontario-based) flyers. We largely target the main items needed, excluding any condiments, spices and staples (butter, oil, milk, etc.).
Price match where you can to save yourself from doing multiple trips at multiple stores. Adjust for quantities, flavour preferences and dietary needs.
We found this recipe from A Saucy Kitchen for One Pot Chicken & Rice, adding in our own frozen peas at the end for a more nutritious one pot meal.
Consider making one meal a week a meatless option! By subsisting ground beef with more vegetables in this weeks spaghetti meal plan you can not only increase the nutrients in that meal, but create larger portions and even save money! Meat tends to be the priciest component of each meal.
Use leftover chicken from the whole chicken meal and any left over veg from the week to make a hearty soup!
Don’t forget to check out the APP! The first (and only!) of its kind, the Savin Groceries App matches local flyer sales to online coupons and cashback. Click the link below to see the latest grocery deals in your area .
